What's Up Guys!

Hey!
So guess what, we finally did it!! We baptized a really cool girl named Cristina. It was crazy. So she was extremely prepared and excited to be baptized. We were going to have her baptism at 6 pm on Saturday. In the morning myself and Elder Simons went to Poções to do interviews for the Sisters there. We got home to the bad news that the baptismal font was broken and would not fill up with water. So we ran down there to fill it up with buckets and a hose. While we were doing that the water ran out. We filled up the font to about ankle deep level. That was a bad sign. So we called the other elders and told them that we would be holding our baptism at their church. We then left our chapel and ran to Cristinas house to tell her but she was gone. We then ran home and called her from a payphone to let her know it would be held at a different chapel. Luckily she was next to the other chapel and was able to get there on time at 6. We showed up to but we had to wait for the other elders to get there so we could have a joined meeting. They finally got there at like 7:30 and we had the baptism. We were so excited that we bought expensive ice cream! It was way good. Then the next day at church we showed up to the fact that Cristina wasnt there. So I called her and she told me she had a fever and wouldnt be coming to church. I told her that she needed to to get confirmed. So she said she would try. I didnt think she was going to make it but during the second hour she showed up and got confirmed. It was awesome! She even told me that while she was laying in her bed with a fever she felt that she had to go to church. Shes way cool. She even wants to serve a mission! Well my time is running out so ill talk to you guys next week!!
Love yall!
Love, Elder Ashton

Fabulous way to be closing out your mission. Your story reminds me of another baptismal story. In Utah two elders were trying to fill a font for a convert baptism but it wouldn't work as fast as needed to meet the schedule. The greenie companion kept pointing this out to the senior. The senior elder finally (tongue in cheek) mentioned that the greenie could call 911. When the operator answered the greenie recounted the situation and the operator said, "No problem Elder." She then sent over the fire department to hose up the font in record time......."Only in Utah"!

Can't wait to hear all your great stories.
