Elder Stewart's Home!!

Today was Elder Stewart's Homecoming (if they are even called that anymore!) and we were thoughtfully invited by Elder Stewart to attend so that we could hear him speak and meet him in person after 7 months of getting to know him through emails and pictures. Wow! What an awesome speaker! He talked to us about prayer, faith and works and how we are pretty much out of luck if we are lacking in any area if we want our prayers answered (he didn't quite say it like that but that was the general idea.....)

We got to the chapel pretty early and sat on one of the back pews. He recognized us immediately and came to greet us and thanked us for coming. We were able to meet his beautiful mom and his dad (who just happens to be the bishop) and were invited to their home afterwards for something to eat and to chat. Once Elder Stewart was available we stole him away to the backyard to take some pictures (which would have been better had I thought to get us out of the shade so that you could see our faces!......Live and learn!)

Elder Stewart is as fun as I had imagined he was and he had nice things to say about Elder Ashton. Elder Alberto and Elder _________ (Ashton's 'grandpa' who was Elder Stewart's trainer and I forgot his name......sorry Elder _________!) were also there and in the pictures with Elder Stewart and of course, Jameson had to jump in a couple of times too. All in all we had great food and got to meet a lot of wonderful people.

Thanks again, Elder Stewart, for being such a great trainer, friend and companion to Ashton. It will be great when you two can meet once again (in a year.....and we will let you know when his homecoming will be!) And btw you are invited to our home anytime so give us a call now that you have our number in your brand new cell phone!
