Many Are Called But Few Are Chosen

Wow... it is so amazing to hear how the other side of the world lives. We surely take it for granted all that we have and are clueless as to how others can live in such a primitive way. Here are some more excerpts from one of Elder Carson's more recent emails to his family:

Well it sounds like you are all having a great time in the land choice above all other lands! Alot has been going on here, way too much to write it all in an e-mail. But i don't think i have told you all but im back where I started and have been for 2 weeks now, sorry i dont think i have written you that small detail. But yes im in the official armpit of the world again.
There have been some fallings out among the Branch here but we have started to regain order and people are starting to calm down.
Two American businessmen came here last week because they own a shipping business that is shipping food aid into Central Africa but not one of their trucks has made it safely to the border. So they hired another company to help. This company is owned by a big Catholic African man. The two Americans are members of our church and they brought this other man to church with them and he really liked it and now is 'running' the Branch! He is calling all sorts of meetings with the leaders of the branch and me and my companion go to them all. He always says NOTRE L'EGLISE which means OUR CHURCH and he isn't even a member but me and my companion are going to baptize him and his two adult sons and his wife this month so that will be good. They will be the best thing that ever happened to the branch. He owns a business and he has a car and a really nice house and he gave 25000 franks to fast offering which is like 50 dollars and thats more than most branch members make in a year!!!!!! He and his family are a big blessing!
Also, me and my companion have 42 investigators. Its too much and hard to teach them all! But we have a 4th of July party to go to at an oil company worker's house....one of the only 6 American families here so that will be nice to relax at.
Hope you are all doing well because I'm going fantastic!

I'm sure that this E-mail didn't make much sense but nothing here really does
